This Privacy Policy explains how Aura911 collects, uses, stores, protects, and shares information when you use the Aura911 mobile application, website, marketplace, support channels, and related services.
1. Who we are
Aura911 (“Aura911”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) operates a mobile-first fashion marketplace for users in Kenya and other supported regions. The app allows users to create accounts, browse fashion listings, communicate with sellers or buyers, list products, manage marketplace activity, and receive app notifications.

2. Information we collect
Depending on how you use Aura911, we may collect the following categories of information:
Account and profile information
- Name, username, phone number, email address, profile photo, and login details.
- Seller profile details, shop name, bio, location or operating area, and account preferences.
- Account verification, trust and safety information, where required to protect users and prevent fraud.
Marketplace content and activity
- Product listings, item photos or videos, descriptions, prices, sizes, categories, stock status, and condition details.
- Searches, saved items, favorites, viewed items, offers, orders, enquiries, reviews, ratings, and marketplace interactions.
- Messages or support requests you send through the app or to our support channels.
Transaction and payment-related information
- Order details, checkout status, delivery or pickup information, payment status, payment references, refunds, and dispute records.
- Where payments are handled by third-party payment providers, those providers may process payment details under their own privacy policies. Aura911 does not require you to send us your card PIN, mobile money PIN, or banking password.
Device, app, and technical information
- Device type, operating system, app version, language, IP address, general location derived from IP address, crash logs, diagnostics, and performance data.
- Push notification tokens and notification preferences so we can send important app alerts, order updates, seller/buyer messages, promotions, and account notices.
- Cookies or similar technologies may be used on Aura911 websites for security, analytics, and basic site functionality.
Permissions-based information
- Camera and media/gallery: used when you upload profile photos, product photos, product videos, or support attachments.
- Location: used only where you choose to provide location-related information, such as seller location, pickup location, delivery area, or nearby marketplace features. We do not use continuous background location tracking unless clearly disclosed and separately permitted.
- Notifications: used to send app alerts, order updates, chat notifications, seller/buyer reminders, promotions, and support updates.
3. How we use your information
We use the information we collect to:
- Create, authenticate, maintain, and secure user accounts.
- Display fashion listings, seller profiles, marketplace content, prices, photos, reviews, and related product information.
- Enable buyer-seller communication, enquiries, offers, orders, delivery or pickup coordination, and support requests.
- Process transaction records, payment status, refunds, disputes, fraud checks, and marketplace safety reviews.
- Send service notifications, account alerts, order updates, promotional messages, reminders, and important policy notices.
- Improve app performance, fix bugs, measure feature usage, prevent abuse, detect suspicious activity, and keep Aura911 safe.
- Comply with legal, tax, regulatory, security, and law-enforcement obligations where applicable.
4. How information is shared
We may share information in the following limited situations:
- With other users: marketplace information such as seller name, shop details, product listings, profile information, reviews, ratings, chat messages, and order-related details may be visible to buyers or sellers where necessary for the transaction.
- With service providers: we may use trusted providers for hosting, cloud storage, analytics, crash reporting, payment processing, customer support, notifications, security, delivery support, and communication tools.
- For legal and safety reasons: we may disclose information if required by law, court order, regulatory request, or where necessary to protect users, prevent fraud, investigate abuse, enforce our terms, or protect the rights and safety of Aura911 and others.
- Business transfers: if Aura911 is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, user information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to appropriate notice and safeguards.
We do not sell personal or sensitive user data.
5. Third-party services
Aura911 may use third-party services and software development kits to operate and improve the app. These may include cloud hosting, database hosting, authentication, analytics, crash reporting, payment processing, maps or location tools, push notifications, and customer support tools. These third parties may process limited information on our behalf according to their own privacy and security practices.
When a third-party payment, delivery, social login, analytics, or support provider is used, you should also review that provider’s privacy policy because their handling of data may be governed by their own terms.
6. Data retention and deletion
We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide Aura911 services, maintain marketplace records, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, enforce agreements, and support legitimate business purposes.
- Account information is usually retained while your account is active.
- Order, payment, dispute, safety, and support records may be retained for longer where required for legal, tax, accounting, fraud-prevention, or dispute-resolution purposes.
- Some deleted content may remain temporarily in backups or logs before being securely removed according to our backup cycles.
You may request account deletion or data deletion by contacting sparrowfullstack@gmail.com. We may need to verify your identity before completing the request. We aim to process valid deletion requests within a reasonable period, unless we are required or permitted to retain certain data by law or for legitimate safety, fraud-prevention, accounting, or dispute-resolution reasons.
7. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information. These measures may include access controls, secure transmission, encryption where appropriate, monitoring, backups, and limiting access to personal information to people or service providers who need it to operate Aura911.
No method of transmission or electronic storage is completely secure. Users should protect their login details, use strong passwords, avoid sharing verification codes, and contact us immediately if they suspect unauthorized account access.
8. Your choices and rights
Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to:
- Access, correct, update, or delete certain personal information.
- Request account deletion or data deletion.
- Opt out of promotional notifications where supported by the app or your device settings.
- Control permissions such as camera, media, location, and notifications through your device settings.
- Contact us with questions, complaints, or objections about how your information is handled.
Some app features may not work correctly if you disable required permissions or delete information needed to provide the service.
9. Children’s privacy
Aura911 is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that a child under 13 has provided personal information, we will take reasonable steps to delete it. Users who are under the age of majority in their location should use Aura911 only with the involvement and consent of a parent or guardian.
10. International data transfers
Aura911 may process and store information using service providers located in Kenya or other countries. Where information is transferred across borders, we take reasonable steps to protect it according to this Privacy Policy and applicable law.
11. Marketing and communications
We may send service messages, account alerts, marketplace reminders, seller/buyer updates, promotional offers, and app improvement notices. You can manage certain notifications from your device settings or in-app settings where available. Important service, safety, legal, or account messages may still be sent where necessary.
12. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our app, business, legal obligations, or data practices. When we make material changes, we may notify users through the app, website, email, or another reasonable method. The latest version will always be available on this page.
